Batu Dam was completed in 1987 and is one of the supplies of water to Kuala Lumpur. When I was there, I saw many people fishing there, a few were enjoying the view and in the evening, 2 couples were having their wedding photo shots.

How to get there?

Along the old Jalan Ipoh at the Batu Caves junction, head towards Batu Caves. About 100m from the junction, turn left and use Jalan Sungai Tua. About 2km from this junction, turn right when you see the sign-board “Genting” or “Ulu Yam Reserves”. About 1.5km from this junction, you will spot the lake and the 1st of many rest areas along the road to view the lake. The road borders the lake on its east side for about 3km, after which you will not be able to see the lake anymore.

These were the photos taken on my visits there, once in the morning and once in the evening.
